In the news, now a days, you constantly hear about race and how there is a lack of diversity everywhere. So far, these conversations have involved things like entertainment, politics, etc. But could the conversation be spreading to the sports world? I went to one of my favorite sports, baseball, to see if that was the case.
Senior Athlete Farewell: The Last Inning for Wheeler Smith
At NGU, Smith stepped right in as a freshman and eventually became the starting catcher. This season, which was set to be Smith’s final season as a Crusader, he suffered a lower back injury that caused him to be sidelined the remainder of the 2016 season.
NGU continues to update campus facilities
According to Athletic Department Director Micah Sepko, “The new NGU track and field facility will be finished during the summer of 2016.”
