Hosanna in the highest: A look into Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday was the first day Christ proclaimed to the public that he was in fact the Messiah they had waited for. In Zechariah 9:9, it was foretold that the Messiah would ride in on a donkey. Only a king signifying peace would have done so. The Jews held palm leaves and cried “Hosanna” (Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.) This was a recognition of His title of Savior. These same Jews would be the same to scream “Crucify Him!” only three days later.
