The local boys are coming back home – Upstate South Carolina natives Bear and Bo Rinehart, members of the Christian rock band NEEDTOBREATHE, are bringing their band back around to Greenville for their Forever On Your Side Tour. The band will be playing at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Oct. 6, 2018, and tickets are now available on their website at needtobreathe.com/tour.
Championships? Nun to be found… – Sister Jean, a nun for Loyola Chicago University in Chicago, Ill., has recently seen her team fall victim to the devastating power of the Michigan Wolverines in the Final Four. The Rambler’s historic run in the NCAA tournament saw them defeating four teams who they were underdogs to coming into the game. However, they couldn’t stop the Wolverines on Saturday night, losing by a final score of 69-57.
Culkin deconfirms bizarre “Home Alone” rumors – One may recall seeing Macaulay Culkin play Kevin McCallister in the classic holiday movie, “Home Alone,” which debuted in 1990. However, what one may not know about are the extreme fan theories and conspiracy theories that have arisen from the film. One of those bizarre theories happened to be that Elvis Presley was an extra in the film. However, in a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”, Culkin dispelled those rumors once and for all.
Vigil held for burnt down Taco Bell – In Montgomery, Ala., apparently Taco Bell really means the world to some people. After a Taco Bell location in the city burned down, over 100 people turned out to pay tribute to the fast-food joint. The owners plan to rebuild, but they were extremely thankful for the support. One can only hope that a parody of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”, titled “My Chalupa,” was sung at the gathering.
Redmayne pays tribute to Hawking at funeral – Eddie Redmayne, an actor known for winning an Academy Award for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in the 2014 film “A Theory of Everything” spoke about Hawking at his funeral in Cambridge, England, calling him “a beautiful mind” and “the funniest person I’ve ever met.” Hawking was 76 years old at the time of his passing, and will be regarded as one of the world’s greatest scientist from many years to come.
