With Intramurals, there’s never a dull moment

When the work is done and there is nothing else to do, Intramurals have been a great way for students to spend their free time. Even with other clubs to choose from, these activities offer something for everyone.

Caroline Whilden, junior, is on an all-girls team for flag football. She said she has enjoyed the opportunity to connect with new and old friends. She said even though she doesn’t see some of her teammates every day, she has loved meeting a lot of new people and making many new friends.

While Whilden is a non-athlete, there are also student athletes who are doing intramurals. A prime example is Seth Hall, a freshman on the men’s soccer team. With the season over and no practices or games to attend, he said it was the perfect chance for him and his teammates to do what they love with little pressure. He said he signed up, not to be on just any team, but with the brothers he calls his family.

Regardless of the reasons students have to do intramurals, the real takeaway is the chance students have to connect with others and have a little bit of fun, too.
