Two photographers, one hike

Seth Atkins and Kayleigh Harrill, Staff Photographers

Nov. 17 was National Take a Hike Day. This day is to remind us to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the beauty God has surrounded us with. Around North Greenville University, there are a number of trails, hiking spots or parks to enjoy the outdoors. Taking a hike doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to travel far, because with the beautiful nature we have here in the upstate, it can be as easy as driving up the road a few minutes.

So two of The Vision’s staff photographers drove eight minutes from North Greenville to Poinsett Bridge for a small hike along the creek and trails. Take a look at the photo blog below to see all the fun in nature.

The historic bridge, known for its aesthetic appeal, is a heritage preserve that includes not only hiking trails, but also peaceful small streams and waterfalls. Here, Seth is walking along a trail with a camera in his hand. Photo by Kayleigh Harrill

Underneath the bridge is an arch, which is a perfect place for a rest after a hike. It is also a great place to grab a few photos of friends or family visiting this hiking location. Seth Atkins admires this element to the bridge. Photo by Kayleigh Harrill
