Dribble it, pass it and bring it to the two high school exposure camps at North Greenville University during summer 2018.

North Greenville University women’s basketball will host players between grade nine and 12 for the two Elite High School Basketball camps this summer. The camps will be held in Hayes gymnasium on the campus of North Greenville University July 9, 2018 and Aug. 4, 2018.

Head coach Willis Holliday and his two assistant coaches, Angle McGowen and Tyler Horn, will be working directly with the campers during every training session. To increase the experience of the campers, current NGU women’s basketball team members will take lead in assisting the facilitation of drills and most of the camp.

College basketball is a fast-paced game and it is imperative to first have a handle on the fundamental elements of the game. As most high school players will be in the off-season or development season for their school teams, this camp is focused on giving each player an opportunity to develop their fundamental skills in a competitive environment.

With the day spent training under Holliday and his coaching staff, the players will leave the camp having trained with other high school athletes and learning to compete, perform and develop through high intensity situations.

During the camps players will not only get to train on the Crusaders home court but will also get a chance to eat with the team in Todd Dining Hall. As part of the exposure experience, campers will get to see class rooms, dorm rooms and to learn about the rest of campus as part of an official campus tour.

Players who plan to attend either of these camps will need to check-in to the camps geared up to step onto the court, to walk around the campus and with proper toiletries. Showers and a locker room will be available for the players.

For more information on the two camps contact Angle McGowan at Angel.McGowan@ngu.edu or call the office of North Greenville University women’s basketball at 864-977-7154.
