“Life Is Winning In America”

Thousands gathered together Friday Jan. 27, 2017 to protest against abortion while participating in the 44th Annual March For Life. The Pro Life Club from North Greenville University drove down to Washington, DC Friday to attend the protest.
Hayden Harris, one of the attendees of the Pro Life Club, stated, Being a part of the march for life made me feel, as a millennial, like I was making a difference for something that I sincerely care about, even though it’s not the popular mindset among people my age.
There were approximately 500,000 attendees in the 44th march. Vice President, Mike Pence excited the crowd has he made the statement Life is winning in America today and Let this movement be known for love.
Harris also stated: The Pro Life Clubs mission to march was to support the pro-life mission and to show others that we know that we have to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Hayden felt like it was her responsibility to stand up against things of the world in order to stand for the things of Christ.
Throughout the march there were thousands holding signs that represented their protest showing their own personal experiences with the sensitive subject. Hayden said her favorite protest sign she witnessed came from a member of the NGU Pro Life Club, Christy Owenby, that said One unplanned pregnancy saved us all.
The experience was life changing. It was incredible to see the signs that people had made about their own experiences. It was also awesome to see so many young people like myself out there standing up against the world for Christ and the things that He loves. Said Harris.
The March for Life is scheduled every year surrounding the anniversary of Roe. Vs. Wade, which is the Supreme Court decision to make this act legal.
Vice President Pence also announced that President Trump signed the order to block federal funding to perform abortions.
Hayden Harris said, [My] view on abortion is that is it wrong no matter what because life begins at conception and abortion is killing a life that God created in His image.
