Book Review: Giving “The Chase” a chance

The Chase is a story about drawing closer to God and, in turn, drawing closer to one another.
At first glance, The Chase can be mistaken as yet another young adults guide to Christian romance, but this book is different in that it is a love story entirely centered around a beautiful, divine romance with the Creator.
The Chase begins with the story of how Kelsey Kupecky, daughter of the renowned Christian author Karen Kingsbury, and her husband, Kyle Kupecky met.
Their lives of chasing God, the prologue reads, had led them to each other.
Unlike the fairy tales and happily-ever-afters of today, Kyle and Kelsey wrote this book as a means of pointing young women back to their first true loveJesus Christ.
Kelsey and Kyle address some of the clich concepts of every Christian dating book, such as not focusing on outward appearance and praying through the waiting in a way that the reader can relate to.
Rather than simply telling, Kelsey and Kyle both provide narratives of past experiences that allow the reader to make a personal connection with the book. The goal of sharing their personal experiences with the reader is to encourage the readers to pursue God in all and before all.
The Chase begins and ends with a resounding truth, When we put God first in our lives, we end up worrying less and we have an internal peace that we cant really explain.
