By Carlee Colvard, Staff Writer
Let’s be honest. We all complain about our professors.
We’ve all been there. But what about the professors? Have you ever wondered how they feel about us students? You might be thinking what does it matter, but understanding your teachers can lead to your achievement and success in your college classes.
Here’s a few professors who have given us insight into what is expected of us students.
1. Professors don’t like when students show up late for class.

“One thing I get tired of is students coming in late for class. I really dont like that while other students are on time and are already sitting in the class. ”
2. Professors don’t like when students fake illnesses to get out of class.

“I hate it when students lie to me about why they cant come to class. When I see students who have blatantly lied to my face and say theyre sick and cant come to class, I say to them, Good. Youre not dead. I hate it. It drives me nuts and makes me so mad.”
3. Professors simply want their students to turn in their homework on time.

“I love when students come in with their homework finished. It excites me. Im disappointed when they dont complete their homework on time.”
4. Professors want their students to do their best the entire semester.

“At the end of the term, students say they need to pass the class with a certain grade. For me, everyone should know what they need and they need to work for that whole semester to get the grade.”
5. Professors want their students to come up with their own ideas.

“I dont like students to copy and paste. I dont like when they write their essays and just regurgitate what we discussed in class rather than having their own thoughts.”
