Although it’s obvious that not all Americans are pleased by the decisive electoral college victory of Republican nominee, Donald Trump, it has always been customary for both domestic and foreign heads of state to congratulate the victory of incoming president or prime minister elect’s. Trump may have alienated certain people groups and nations during his campaign, but respect has been given on a global scale, out of respect for the office in which he will soon reside.
