Are you a huge Disney fan? Do you think you know everything there is to know about Disney movies? Put your knowledge to the test with this Disney decades quiz. See if you can guess which decade each of these Disney films were released in with the names and descriptions given.
This animated Disney movie became a big success with its colorful animations, memorable characters and interesting concept of imagination. Two of Lewis Carroll’s books inspired this film; filmmakers took ideas from both “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass”. While Lewis Carroll’s books were used for the idea behind “Alice in Wonderland”, one of her oldest poems was used for some of the lines sung by the Cheshire Cat. This movie was almost produced as a complete live-action film until Walt Disney changed his mind and decided to make the movie entirely animated.

This popular Disney princess movie was a big hit with its unique underwater theme and popular songs. However, something you might not know is that one of the most famous songs, “Part of Your World,” was almost cut from the film. Also, many people think Ursula is an octopus, but she actually only has six tentacles making her more of a squid. “The Little Mermaid” was one of the first films to use Pixar’s new computer animation process for a few scenes.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe?
This imaginative story by C. S. Lewis was actually co-produced by Disney and Walden Media, and this movie turned out to be a huge success even after C. S. Lewis never intended for it to hit the big screen. One scene in the film pictures Lucy’s screaming reaction to Mr. Tumnus. This was a genuine reaction because the director made actress Georgie Henley close her eyes before she was first exposed to the famous faun. Aslan the lion, voiced by Liam Neeson, is a big part of the movie, but Aslan was extremely difficult to put on screen because each individual frame he was in took around 10 hours to produce.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Almost everyone knows the story of this popular Disney princess film, but you might not know some of these interesting facts. Disney actually came up with the idea for this movie when he was only 15 years old, and he actually mortgaged his home to produce this production. Critics actually nicknamed this film “Walt Disney’s Folly” because they were certain it would fail, but Disney certainly proved them wrong.

This animated Disney film is known for mostly being happy and upbeat. However, the first version of the script was completely rewritten because Disney thought it was much too dark. Also, most of the soundtrack was rewritten because the songs were also seen as too dark. This film was the final animated feature that Disney had a hand in before he passed away. The Beatles were asked to voice The Vultures in the film, but they turned them down. Also, many people do not know that there is actually a sequel to The Jungle Book.

This movie was successful with a fascinating storyline and even brought actress Lindsay Lohan her first big break. Although Lindsay Lohan snagged the part of twins Hallie and Annie in this film, other famous actress such as Michelle Trachtenberg and Scarlett Johansson were also considered for the lead role. There was actually an earlier version of ‘“The Parent Trap” where the potential wicked step-mother character was played by Joanna Barnes, and this same actress returned to play Meredith’s mother in this newer version.
