New location for Greenville bakery is amoosing

Chocolate Moose used to be found on the east end of Main Street in downtown Greenville. However, times have changed. And so has the menu and location.
The company owners decided that it was time for a change and wanted to help spread the business name which is now Chocolate Moose Bakery & Cafe. Their new location is now at the M. Judson Booksellers on 130 Main St.
Not only are they keeping their locally known cupcakes but they are also making the once dessert only shop into more of a café. They will now offer breakfast items such as scratch-made biscuits, and seasonal jams and jellies and muffins, along with other delicious foods. The owners hope to incorporate meals for lunch and the evening for those who crave that extra bite.
This store really embodies the meaning of teamwork. The new owners, Emily Dallam, Anne Marie O’Hara and Elizabeth Gibbs all bring unique characteristics to the baking table.
All graduates from Clemson University, they have gotten to know each other well and understand how to use their uniqueness to their advantage—business advantage that is.
Dallam is in charge of public relations and carries out all the social media aspects that go into the job. O’Hara, who trained at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York, oversees the menu and kitchen operations. Gibbs studies finance and is the residence’s CFO. All of these women play a dynamic role in this entire process which has been both exhausting and worth it.
When asked why the need for a change in location, O’Hara said, “Our lease was coming to an end on March 31. When we heard about the space available at M. Judson Booksellers, we thought it would be a unique location, something different.”
She went on to say that she is grateful for the five years everyone had at the old location and hopes to continue to please the downtown area. The Chocolate Moose Bakery & Cafe does not offer any student discounts, but offers a quiet, noteworthy atmosphere for any college student looking to get some work done.
North Greenville students are fans of the bakery.
Maddy Bessinger, freshman, said, “I think the Chocolate Moose Bakery & Cafe is good. They have different, unique flavors.”
Rachel Dickerson, freshman, said, “I think the Chocolate Moose Bakery & Cafe has a lot of variety and it’s delicious. The service is great and all the workers seem to know what cupcakes are best. My favorite cupcake is the vanilla cupcake.”
So head on over, grab a book at M. Judson Booksellers and a cupcake from Chocolate Moose Bakery & Cafe and get to work on your homework.
