For a lot of Crusader athletes, this school year will be their last year of lacing those cleats and shoes up, the last year stepping onto the field or court and the last go round for them to put that red and black on. This is certainly a feeling that only can be described as bittersweet.

One Crusader athlete who will be saying his farewell to North Greenville University after the 2016 football season is senior offensive lineman Armon Lindsay.

Lindsay, a 6-foot-3, 280 pound native of Rock Hill, S.C., attended South Pointe High School and was a standout right guard for the school’s football team, the Stallions.

Lindsay said of his last season, 的t’s bittersweet. I知 happy that I知 almost done, but at the same time I知 going to miss playing ball with my brothers.”

Lindsay said what he will miss the most is the relationships with friends outside of sports.

Lindsay痴 plan for life after football involves the possibility of joining the military as an officer or becoming a sports broadcaster for ESPN. Lindsay said his favorite sports broadcaster is Stephen A. Smith.

Lindsay said he has many goals for his final ride as an NGU Crusader.

溺y goal is to stay healthy and perform at my top potential and, hopefully, become an All-American, if possible,” Lindsay said.

The Crusaders’ goal is to win the Division II National Championship; a leader on and off the field, Lindsay will surely be missed after his departure.
