Hooray! “Bluey” watch party at NGU
Riley Belle Kinard, Visual Arts Editor
On Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, North Greenville’s SLT staff hosted a “Bluey” night in Todd Dining Hall. Students were able to come watch episodes of Bluey while eating popcorn and hanging out with friends. This was a great opportunity for students to rest and unwind after a long week of classes.

Friends sat together enjoying a stress-free night and time together. This event was from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. that allowed students to drop in as they pleased.

SLT staff served popcorn for students from an old-fashioned popcorn machine. Popcorn was great to snack on while enjoying “Bluey.”

Mia Harper, senior interdisciplinary major, and Chelsea Hodge, freshman art major, brought matching “Bluey” stuffed animals to show their love for the show. Hodge also wore her “Bluey” sweatshirt.

“Bluey” was originally written with ages 3-7 years in mind, but college students love it just as much as the children. With the light humor and family aspect of the show, children, young adults and adults find themselves streaming “Bluey.”

Friends like Micah Stewart, junior Spanish major, Beau Bradley, senior strategic communications major, and Maggie Cooley, junior early childhood major, use this time to study and complete school work with the show playing in the background.

The inflatable screen and projector made this a special experience. Students all over the dining hall were able to see “Bluey” make it on the big screen.

In front of the screen, students were given the option to sit on blankets that were spread out across the floor so groups of friends could all sit together.
If you missed “Bluey” night, don’t worry. In another week, they are hosting a watch party for the new movie “Wicked.”
