1) “Pokemon Tournament”
“Pokemon Tournament” is a game that has an avid gamer like me very excited. While it may not be the most highly anticipated game of 2016, it is a brilliant concept. Imagine having some of your favorite Pokemon characters battling it out. Sign me up now. (The release date and rating of this game are currently unknown.)
2) “Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess”
Ever since the WiiU came out for Nintendo in 2012, gamers everywhere have been asking two questions: ‘When will there be a new Smash Brothers game?’ and ‘When will there be a new Zelda game?’
Well the answer to the last question is here. This year, a new Zelda game will be hitting stores for all gamers to enjoy. With a new playing style that includes a more multiplayer feel, “Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” is going to be one that many gamers have long anticipated. The release date will be sometime in November. (The rating of this game is currently unknown.)
3) “Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2”
“Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2” has the potential to be a surprisingly must-have game coming out this year. This will be the second installment of the popular mobile game. Only available for PC, XBOX One and PS4, this version of Garden Warfare is something completely different than its predecessor. The second installment has the look and feel of a kid-friendly, third person shooter, but with none of the violence. The release date should be sometime in March of this year. (The rating for this game is currently unknown.)
4) Star Fox Zero
2016 is going to be a great year for Nintendo. Not only are the previous games I mentioned going to be a great addition, but this game in particular has every fan of “Star Fox” feeling joy and excitement. “Star Fox” hasn’t had a legitiment game since the days of Nintendo 64, but this new game is one that could become a favorite among gamers. Although a remake from the original, gamers can expect updated graphics and more depth because of the space games have for maps. The release date for this game is April. (The rating of this game is currently unknown.)
5) “Pokemon Go”
A highly anticipated release, “Pokemon Go” will be available for Android and iOS only. This game will take Pokemon masters to the next level. “Pokemon Go” transforms gamers’ phones into live Pokemon worlds, with alerts when approaching a nearby Pokemon. The challenge for gamers is to try and catch the Pokemon by using Poke Balls.
With great marketing and design choices, “Pokemon Go” has potential to be considered as the game of the year. (The release date and rating of this video game is currently unknown.)
