Union County High School Student Zachary Dillion Smith, 18, was arrested after pushing and cussing at a coach. He has been transported to the Union County Detention Center.
Kahlid Dequane Alexander, 20, was hit while walking on Howell Rd. around 7:20 p.m. Monday. Alexander died on the scene and the driver was not injured.

Jose Ferreira has been charged with second-degree murder after calling a Milwaukee TV station about Carrie Ann Jopek, who has been missing since 1982. Jopek’s body was not found until 17 months after her disappearance.
On Friday, Oct. 16, a student arriving to take a driving test in Washington, crashed into the driving school. There were no injuries and the student failed the test.

Nine people died in the Philippines due to typhoon Koppu. Twenty thousand remain in emergency shelters. Emergency officials warn entire communities that mudslides are soon to follow.
In India, Shiv Kumar Yadav, was convicted of raping a female Uber passenger last December. Prosecutors are pushing for a life sentence, the severest punishment for this offense.
