Humans of NGU: Devan Trout

Devan Trout is the only sophomore female in the ROTC program at North Greenville University. She has just received the ROTC Scholarship that covers her entire school expenses and allots her a stipend that increases every year.
“The guys in the ROTC will always have the physical aspects in the bag, but my intelligence and mindset benefit me greatly,” said Trout.
Trout discovered the ROTC program in middle school. She considered did not want to take the school’s physical education course and decided to try the ROTC replacement course. She was hooked after that and continued the ROTC program until college. Trout has committed to join the Army after graduation.
