Experience opening night: “The Good Doctor” edition
Seth Atkins, Visual Arts Editor
Have you ever wondered what an opening night of a show at NGU is like? It’s a night filled with excitement, nerves and eagerness. The cast and crew get to finally share beautiful art that they have been working on for weeks with their community. The audience on an opening night is the first to see the show that’s being performed, and that is something special.
To provide some insight, below you will get to experience the opening night of “The Good Doctor” through pictures. Out of respect for the cast, crew and show itself, there will be no photos below of the actual performance. Instead, you will see the events surrounding the show and how an audience member would step into the world of theatre.
“The Good Doctor” opened Feb. 17, 2022. On this opening night, the audience is about to experience stories of the human condition and step into the world of Anton Chekhov, a Russian playwright. So, the set is ready, the lights are on and great storying telling is ready to be shared.
Now all that would be left to do is let the art that was presented speak to you. That’s what theatre does, it speaks messages, tells stories, and provides many forms of entertainment. Thank you for taking this journey of the opening night of “The Good Doctor”.
