Abigail Seiler, Visual Arts Editor

On Nov. 1, North Greenville University’s Art Department held its semesterly ceramics sale. Throughout the beginning of the semester, the ceramics students worked on creating a variety of pieces for the sale, utilizing the different skills they learned.

The ceramics sale included over 40 handmade cups.

Ceramics professor Hayley De Gonzalez runs the event, as well as creating pieces to sell.

She crafts detailed mugs with intricate textures and designs.

She also uses special glazes and clay to make details like these speckles on this mug.

They offered a fresh cup of coffee or tea with each purchase of a mug.

The sale drew the attention of teachers and students, and within the first hour sold over two-thirds of their pieces.

There were many unique mugs with interesting handles, shapes and colors.

They had more than just traditional mugs; espresso cups were also included at the sale.
