Honoring achievement: Alpha Phi Sigma criminal justice induction ceremony

North Greenville University held a ceremony in the president’s dining room to welcome two students into Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society.

Marigrace Ellis, junior criminal justice major, and Abigail Cauley, senior criminal justice major, are receiving their awards as inductees of Alpha Phi Sigma.

Ashlyn Dowling, senior criminal justice and legal studies major, as treasurer is lighting inductee Ellis’s candle as a way to welcome her into Alpha Phi Sigma.

Karah Barry, senior criminal justice and legal studies major, president of Alpha Phi Sigma, is initiating Cauley into Alpha Phi Sigma. Staci Rollins, department chair of criminal justice and legal studies, is at the podium announcing the inductees.

These candles symbolize the values of academic intelligence, leadership, service, and unity upheld by Alpha Phi Sigma.

Barry began the lighting of the candles.

Rollins led the ceremony for Alpha Phi Sigma.
