Joyful Sound has been around for 45 years now, their musical abilities have continued to skyrocket

The Joyful Sound group travels around to different locations to spread musical cheer to those that are willing to experience Christ. This group celebrated their 45 years anniversary and intend to continue to impact people through music.
Joyful Sound is a group that uses your God-given talents to encourage those around you. Regardless if you are a singer or sound technician, you lead others to Christ through song.
According to North Greenvilles website, encourage, disciple and worship are the three words they live by. This group is wanting to comfort those that need comfort.
This is the big idea of Joyful Sound but it is also a way to build a close community with peers that all have the same mindset as you. They enjoy spreading Christ in this way and continue to do so.
Joyful Sound celebrates their 45 years anniversary by continuing its original purpose of spreading the power of the Holy Spirit through music, said by Chief Spiritual Formation Officer Stephen Crouse.
“April 14, many Joyful Sound and NGU alumni from across the years returned to campus for a night of worship. The goal is to worship the King of kings and the Lord of lords,” said Crouse.
After years of switching positions multiple times, Crouse hired Josh Epton, the music director, to help supervise Joyful Sound under his main supervision. Crouse stated that he is now the intentional interim manager of the teams as of 2022. Which is handling the scheduling and traveling details.
“I remember Joyful Sound coming to my church when I was younger and them making an impact on the church body,” Gabbi Mina, senior, said.
Joyful Sound continues to grow and shine light on the university, according to Crouse. They share the gospel and the joy that comes with being a Christian all through music.
