Spotify is spot-on for you: songs to help you study

Chad Stratton, Staff Writer

Many people have what is called a “sweet ear” and have to listen to music while they study for something important, even if it is just white noise. Some people have their song choices all planned out, and some do not know what to listen to sometimes. To those people who do not know what to listen to, according to ThoughtCo, most people enjoy peaceful music while they study, so here are some ideas that are on Spotify of music to listen to.

1. Drift Away – A Slower Tempo – This song is a slower tone, but it is very soothing. It is not too distracting and has a nice background. The chimes and cinematic synthesizer can help anyone concentrate on anything.

2. The Return Home – Daniel Kadawatha – This masterpiece provides more of a sustaining slowness with each note change being very slow. The piano is the main melody, and acts as a slow chime that brings emotions of tranquility, happiness, and love.

3. Notes from Tom – Jesse Brown and Tom Merrall – Starting with a slow and elegant piano, it begins to crescendo and decrescendo as the song continues. It thrives and sings to a beat very soothing.

4. Expectance – Anna Sofia Nord – With more piano, this song provides a similar melody to other songs on this list. It is very slow, soothing, elegant, and a little shorter than the others. It ends with a symbolic warm feeling.

5. Viva Voce – Johann Johannsson – This song is originally used as a soundtrack in “The Theory of Everything” directed by James Marsh. It starts sad but progressively becomes more peaceful and happy at the end, and climaxes at the end with the sounds of flutes and violins.

6. Dance of Life – Simon Wester – This song has a beginning feeling of romance and happiness. Throughout the piece, it begins to crescendo gradually and decrescendo gradually around 3 times. With its beautiful piano, it is driven for any audience to have feelings of no stress, no anxiety, peace, and even butterflies. It also brings the vibes of a church piano during tithes and offerings.

7. Redefined – Christopher Galovan – With the very happy tone of a synthetic keyboard in the beginning, this piece brings joy to every soul that hears its music. It remains a faster tempo throughout the song but is still a peaceful and happy song. If you have a happy “sweet ear”, this one is for you.

8. Softly – Kristopher Wallin – The piano can be a very peaceful instrument to use and this is no exception. Being very slow, it is the perfect white noise for listeners who need it. This song can definitely be used for church tithes and offerings. This is nothing tranquility seeping through your ears.

9. Inner Introspection – Cooper Sams – Providing stress and anxiety-free sounds, it is like the artist is rooting for you to get your work done. Using the piano once again, feeling of doubt, loss, stress, guilt, and every other negative feeling are thrown out and peace, love, hope, romance, happiness and laughter move in.

For those of you who listen to music while studying, this list can help you find peace, serenity, happiness, and motivation.
