A thousand reasons to be thankful

This Thanksgiving break, North Greenville University students were able to travel to see family, eat pounds of home cooked food and even decorate for Christmas early. It was a much needed break for many before the finals are in full swing.
Many students drove back home for the first time since fall break. The view on the road was a pretty sight, with fall leaves at their brightest color of the season.
A home cooked meal is something that college students don’t get to experience very often anymore. Here, we see Thanksgiving vegetables cooking on the stove.
We can’t forget about the turkey on Thanksgiving. A tradition for many families is to deep fry their turkey.
Stable items for a typical southern Thanksgiving meal include turkey, casserole, dressing, cranberry sauce and mac-n-cheese.
For many, the most important part is the dessert. Some famous fall desserts are pecan pie, pumpkin pie or cheesecake.
Fall decorations can be seen from east to west in homes across America during Thanksgiving. Yet, many take the decorations down after Thanksgiving in preparation for the Christmas season.
After Thanksgiving, some families begin to prepare for Christmas. From Black Friday shopping to decorating, the turkey is turned to tinsel and mistletoe.
