COVID-19 campus update

North Greenville University is continuing to do its part in keeping the community safe during the pandemic. Thankfully, the fall semester is going smoothly, even if it looks a little different with the mandatory mask policy and all.

Linwood Hagin, member of the NGU COVID-19 Response Team, is very pleased with how students, faculty and staff are responding to the protocols set in place.

“I think overall I can speak for the team that we’re very pleased with the response from the NGU community in terms of implementing the protocols that are in place,” Hagin said.

Hagin also mentioned because of the increased safety measures, the Response Team has seen a decrease in cases, and he credits the people at NGU for abiding by the rules and being safe when interacting with others.

In the beginning, the Response Team determined that the majority of reported cases on campus originated off campus. Hagin stated that even though the virus won’t disappear, he hopes that society will adjust to the virus being a part of our everyday lives.

Because cases have been stable on campus, and lower than expected, Hagin believes NGU is a safe place.
