Concert choir and COVID

North Greenville’s concert choir has always played a role in creating more community for NGU students, faculty and staff. This year, the choir as well as directors, are faced with many new challenges within the season of this global pandemic.

What does this look like for the choir in this time? Senior vocal performance major Ashleigh Moore states, “We have to have everybody separated so it’s hard to hear each other and the masks definitely don’t help that. It muffles your voice which makes it harder to breathe which means it’s harder to sing.” Along with these challenges, Moore also states that she is looking forward to better times ahead.

In the midst of all the chaos, this choir turns to their love for music and community to help them push through to the better times coming.

With their upcoming concert on Oct. 30, they are preparing and looking forward to sharing what they love so much with the NGU community.
