The month of October is “Adopt-a-Dog Month” since American Humane first celebrated it in 1981. This is “an effort to help the estimated 3-4 million animals waiting in shelters to get the loving, forever homes that they deserve,” according to the American Humane website. In honor of this, we have highlighted a few North Greenville students who own rescue or adopted dogs.

Justin Brown, sophomore broadcasting major, has an adopted dog named Ali. His family has had her since she was a puppy.

Ali is a huge part of their family and brings them so much joy. Her company brings comfort to Browns’ parents and their three sons.

Cooper has the nickname “Dr. Dog.” The family puts glasses on him as a joke; he is definitely a large part of the family.
