What can current students and potential future students expect? Director of Cybersecurity Brad Hamlett states, “They can expect when they get out of this program … to be technically proficient and employable right away.” Hamlett also commented that the response to this new major has been huge, especially with outside interests.

Some of the field jobs that cybersecurity has to offer include artificial intelligent security analyst, computer network architect, cryptanalyst/cryptographer, cyber intelligent specialist and software programmer.

Since there has been a labor shortage in the cybersecurity field for the last 20 years, Hamlett hopes to equip and prepare the next generation of computer geniuses.
