North Greenville University had a recent spike in coronavirus numbers but plans to stay proactive to keep students on campus. A weekly email went out to students stating the new number of cases. As of Oct. 15, there were 15 active cases and 68 recovered cases at the Tigerville campus.

According to COVID task force member Jody Jennings, the current protocol is for students to mask up in any setting, whether inside or outside and to not be in groups larger than eight.

Student Chloe Dalton is doing her part in stopping the spread. If you are going in big groups like NGU cant control us when we do that. So we have to be the ones to control ourselves. Dalton said.

Jennings echoes what Dalton and other students want, to stay on campus. Our deepest desire obviously is to keep everyone here, on campus in person, Jennings said.

With stricter guidelines in place, there is hope for North Greenville University to win this COVID-19 battle and to return to its new normal.
