The month of November is set aside to honor and recognize the commitment and dedication military families make and how they also serve our country.

With the holidays coming up, you can help out a military family by “adopting” them, offer to run errands for the spouse if they are a young parent or donate or volunteer to a military organization.

In 1996, the Armed Services YMCA teamed up with the U.S. Government to establish National Military Family Month. The president of the United States declares this month each year through a sign proclamation.
