Falling for Fall Break

Stuck on campus for Fall Break? Good news! Fall is in the air, and coming with it, hiking season. Sometimes it can be hard feeling like you don’t have anything to do around campus, but here in the upstate, we have so many areas to get into the outdoors! A few areas only a short drive from campus are Jones Gap State Park, Caesars Head State Park, Paris Mountain State Park, and the NGU staple Bald Rock.
Don’t waste your fall break on video games, Netflix, or Fant forbid, studying. Get out to nature and make some memories. The Lord has created a beautiful world to explore and Fall Break gives us great opportunity to experience creation.
“For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse” Romans 1:20
Don’t be worried about getting lost. Every state park has a visitor center with maps and park rangers who are there to answer your questions!
The light falling into The Devils Kitchen at Caesars Head is simply heavenly.
Look for the beauty of creation even in the smallest details.
