It is no secret that for the past five years the Golden State Warriors have dominated the NBA. Many sports analysts have even stated that the dominance will continue for the next decade with players such as Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and now Kevin Durant. However, in the past weeks, the Warriors have struggled with player chemistry and this has caused them to lose seven games.
At the center of the problems in Draymond Green, who had a major confrontation a few weeks ago with teammate Kevin Durant, following a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors said in a release Green’s conduct was “detrimental to the team.”
The question still remains whether or not the Warriors can get their season back on track. The Warriors currently have 14 wins and seven losses, but it is still early in the season.
Green is currently still with the team, but rumors are floating around that the Warriors are looking to trade him, according to NBA.com.
If the Warriors want to keep their dynasty alive, they will trade him and soon. This is not Green’s first time getting into trouble on the court. He has always been a hot head, getting into trouble on the court. However, this is not where his trouble ends. In the summer of 2016, Green was arrested for misdemeanor assault, after getting into a fight with another man, according to sports illustrated.
Green also does not add anything to the Warriors team on the court. Having three superstars, the Warriors only need players that can give them a rest and play with the team. Green does not seem that he wants to play a team game.
Another major issue the Warriors have is that LeBron James is now with the Los Angeles Lakers. Even though The Lakers have not had the best season yet, it seems as if James is getting accumulated with the team.
This is the worst possible news for the Warriors. Instead of having a clear shot to the championship game, the Warriors will now have to go through James to get there. Then, if they get there, face another tough team in order to win the championship.
With this, all being said, the Warrior’s dynasty clings onto whether or not they can keep Curry, Thompson and Durant all on the same team. It seems that they have found a way to make it work, but eventually, someone has to want all the attention. At least that is what usually happens with NBA players.
If the Warriors can get rid of Green, beat James and keep all three superstars together, then there is no reason why the Warriors cannot keep their dynasty together for another 10 years.
However, Coach Steve Kerr has his hands full.
