World culture race

The NGU World Culture Race was held on Friday, Oct. 26. Students were partnered up and ran around campus doing different challenges that required them to try new things from different cultures.
Students who participated were Hawk Jacobs (sophomore) and Heather Shulke (freshmen), Mikaela Hawes (sophomore) and Mary Richardson (senior), Jon Kesey (senior) and Joelle White (junior), Hannah Giordano (senior) and Anna Catherine Wayne (senior) and finally Kimberly Gautier (sophomore) and Libby Smith (junior).

This challenge was to enjoy a Mexican sweet bread (pan dulce) with a Mexican juice. Gautier had no trouble with this challenge.
Jacob runs through the hall ways of Avery during a challenge called “El Camino de Santiago.” The challenge here was to walk or run a kilometer in under four minutes. Students had to start in the lobby of AV Wood, go upstairs, go down the stairs through the library, and come back around five times.
Kesey and White also completed the “El Camino de Santiago” challenge.
Hawes and Richardson complete the German dance challenge, which consisted of them learning a German dance.
In this challenge, Hawes and Richardson had to memorize a bible verse in another language.
Giordano concentrates as she takes on the “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” challenge.
