NGU Homecoming 2018 recap

Even in the midst of a hurricane, homecoming week at North Greenville University was a wonderful success filled with many fun times. With several events planned each day, NGU was filled with excitement the entire week. Check out some of the events going on and quotes from students about what they are most excited about this year.

Opening Ceremony


Freshman, Tabita Romero and sophomore, Mary Garcia are excited for a week full of fun as we kick off NGU’s Homecoming 2018.

Tabita Romero is a freshman at NGU, and she said, “I can’t wait to see what this week is going to be like since it’s my first year. I’m most excited for the dance on Friday.” Her friend Mary Garcia is in her sophomore year here at NGU, and she said, “Homecoming last year was so much fun, so I’m hoping this year is even more exciting.”

Junior, Jonny Hannah and senior, Jon Andrews are focusing in on winning for their clubs when playing in the Corn-Hole Tournament Tuesday afternoon.

Jonny Hannah is a junior here at NGU, and he said, “The last couple of homecoming weeks have been very competitive and fun. I love competing in a lot of the events like corn-hole and the relay race. This year I am looking most forward to the homecoming dance.”

All NGU Students Bowl for Free


Seniors, Bryce Allen, Josh Bradley and Adam Daniel are all excited to bowl for Sport Management while sophomore, Zion Dendy is ready to compete with SGA on Wednesday night at Peach Bowl Lanes for free.

Zion Dendy is a sophomore this year, and he said, “I thought that Homecoming last year was very eventful, and I loved the atmosphere every night. I am most excited this year for the atmosphere of the homecoming football game this year.”

Homecoming Queen Announced at Half-Time


Junior, Allison Yeater, was announced NGU’s Homecoming Queen 2018, and standing with her are 1st Runner Up junior, Courtney Williamson and 2nd Runner Up junior, Gabriella Porter.
