DIY pumpkin ideas for Halloween

#1. Glitter Stem Pumpkins
Something simple yet adorable is the glitter stem pumpkin. All you need is a small pumpkin (or large if that is your preference) some glitter and then paint that matches the glitter color.
#2. Carving Pumpkin Set
Getting a carving set seems like it would be one of the easiest things but it was found that the small, blunt knifes that come in the kit don’t work the best. We recommend using something sharper, but be careful. The set came with a knife, stencils and a paintbrush with black paint.
#3. Lots of Leaves
If you are looking for something that is more on the decor side, gluing faux leaves onto a pumpkin can be a simple way to create something unique that would look great outside a dorm door. All you need is glue, a larger sized pumpkin and some fake leaves in a variety of color.
#4. Painting a Masterpiece
This may be one of the more basic needs but there are so many designs and colors you can use. Above is a design found online, though the painting may not be the best you get the idea and it was a lot of fun in the process. All you need, if you free paint, is a paintbrush, a few tubes of paint and any type of pumpkin.
#5. Buy a Pre-made Pumpkin
Not very artsy or maybe not enough time? Whatever it is you can take that $5 you found yesterday and head down to the nearest store and pick out any kind of pumpkin your heart desires. The football pumpkin above was around $6 and looks great on the kitchen table during Sunday Football, it takes the creative mind to know what looks good.
