Places that still exist, that people thought were gone

Remember back in the day as child your mom would take you to certain stores, and then one day these stores just disappeared, and we didnt really think about it. Some stores that existed when we were younger still exist today. Here are a few examples of stores that people didnt know that they still exist.
This is like any other retail store, they sell appliances, clothing, electronics and furniture. It is a cheaper choice for shopping, but still offers decent quality products. This year, Sears Holding Corporation closed 400 Kmart stores, because of weak in-store sales. Eventually in December they will be out of business completely. As for Sears, it was once a huge retail that everyone liked. The reason why these two stores will be going out of business, is because of such high demand for online shopping.
This company is the maker of Hello Kitty, this was huge back in the early 2000s. Since then, her popularity has declined and Sanrio stores have seen less and less buyers. Sanrio isnt as popular here in the U.S. as it used to be; you used to be able to go to the mall and find at least two Sanrio stores. Now in malls you wont even find one, they still have an online store which is more popular. Though this store isnt completely dead yet, I feel that within a couple years it will be gone.
This is a big one that everyone thought didnt exist anymore. This video store had home movies that were high in demand and video game rentals. It became popular in 2004 and had over 4,500 locations in the U.S. Today there are only three Blockbusters left: two in Alaska and one in Oregon. The reason behind why their going out of business is quite obvious: Netflix. Nobody goes to rent movies anymore because you can easily rent them online or go get them at a Redbox. Once the company began to slowly become unpopular they began losing customers.
This was a discount clothing store that had 113 locations all across the U.S. The very first Value City was in Columbus, OH, but it closed back in 2006. Value City wasnt a huge company, but it was fairly popular, since they sold off price products. Though we dont see a regular Value City anymore, it does still exist. It is now Value City Furniture. Its pretty self-explanatory on what they sell now. They offer a lot of decently priced, good quality furniture.
