While in college, there are times when you feel like doing some sort of activity that involves nature. Hiking is popular here at NGU . Many of these trails hold beautiful scenery, waterfalls and small streams. It’s good to just go off and take a break from studying and just enjoy the time with nature. So if you are not aware of some places good for hiking here are just a few that you may find enjoyable.

Bald Rock Heritage Preserve offers the most fantastic views of South Carolina. This is a popular spot for college students to visit, as it’s well known for the graffiti covering the rocks. This place offers beautiful views of mountains, and a great view for star gazing and shooting stars. Being up there at night offers great views of the city night life down below.

Pretty Place holds the most breathtaking views that you’ll ever see. You will have a fascinating view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This place is also known for hosting weddings. Pretty Place is located on the border of South/North Carolina, and the hike is about four miles one way. While hiking here you’ll be able to visit other popular places such as, Rainbow Falls and Jones Gap State Park.

This is a neighboring rock to Bald Rock, and it is located near Pickens, SC. This is more of a difficult hike but still doable, as the distance of this trail is 6.4 miles. This trail offers breath taking views. Thankfully since this trail is long they have you register at the Nature Center in case of emergency or you get lost. Just to hike all the way to the top will take you about five hours. Thankfully there are waterfalls and bridges to take a break and peacefully watch.
