Congratulations to Gene C. Fant, Jr.

Friday, April 13– History was made as Gene C. Fant, Jr. took on the title of North Greenville University’s eighth president. The inaugural week events included:
- A read through of the Bible aloud on campus, intended to saturate the campus with God’s revelation of Himself to His creation.
- Academy and junior college celebration. Alumni, faculty and staff from North Greenville’s earlier eras gather to celebrate the history and the continued existence and mission of North Greenville.
- The President’s distinguished lecture. Featured Hunter Baker, associate professor of political science at Union University in Jackson, Tenn. Hunter’s topic for the lecture was “The Need for Christian Statesmanship.”
- The official inaugural celebration ceremony. Distinguished guests, faculty and students fill Turner chapel to watch as Fant receives the official title.
- Joyful Sound 40th anniversary celebration. To finish the celebration, Joyful Sound alumni and current students join together in worship and some final words from Fant.
