National Pet Day
Ariona Imel, Staff Editor
April 11, the best day of the year: National Pet Day. National Pet Day was started in 2006 by Colleen Paige, who is an Animal Welfare Advocate. If you have a pet, then you know how much you adore your pet.
National Pet Day is a day that we can give our pets a little extra love and care. National Pet day is also a day for you to help out in your local shelter. This is a day where you can volunteer, donate food and toys and spend the day spoiling your pet. Make sure you let your pet know how much they are appreciated and loved. Make their day extra special by taking them to the park or giving them an extra treat.
This is Curtis Taylor’s dog Brady. Taylor is a health science major. Brady is the happiest dog you’ll ever meet who loves meeting new people. But as you can see, he wasn’t very thrilled about having his picture taken.
This is Fluffy and her owner is Jonah Losh. Jonah is a music performance major. Seems Fluffy likes to play around with the pillows on the couch.
This here is Samson, a 2-year-old boxer. His owner, Austin Dobbs, is a secondary social studies education major. Samson gets sad when Dobbs goes back to college.
This is Remington, who is a rambunctious 2-year-old beagle. Ariona Imel, his owner, is a digital media major. Remington loves to eat and play with his toys.
