The Vision Magazine
Madison Giles, Staff Writer
The Vision Magazine holds true to creating a physical vision of what the media at North Greenville stands for. The publication that is printed bi-annually just recently received an award for its Fall issue of 2016.
Alex Miller, editor-in-chief of the fall 2016 and spring 2017 issues, gave some details on what it’s like working for the magazine and the issue that won the award.
Miller described working for the Vision magazine as a learning experience. She said, “the magazine has improved every year and is continuing to improve.” She started working for the Vision Magazine her sophomore year as a writer and became editor-in-chief her junior year.
The award was given by the Associated Collegiate Press, a division of the National Scholastic Press Association.
The story that won the award was called “The Great Divide” written by Miller. This story was about the election in 2016. The page design of her news story won third place. The page was designed by Margaret Milteer, who graduated in 2017. The theme for her page was hexagons.
This student produced publication is continuing to improve every year. The staff is working to continue the Vision Magazine and making it better each year.
