Humans of NGU: Danielle Ramey, 21 and married
Mary Mahan, Contributing Writer
Danielle Ramey spent her first semester in 2015 getting teased by her friends whenever her boyfriend would come to visit her on campus for the weekend. Ring by spring was yelled at them from across campus many times, but she proved all the teasers wrong. She and her boyfriend didnt get married when spring rolled around the next semester, but they would be married two years later in the fall of 2017.
Ramey spent the summer before her junior year planning her wedding. She stated that, It was nice not having to worry about planning and doing school work at the same time. They got married in August 2017 and were the first couple to be married in Rameys new church building.
Many people they looked up to advised them not get married so young, which she said was discouraging but she says that, We both have our faith rooted in Christ, and both have faith in each other and our marriage. Both Ramey and her husband Josh have been talking with their parents and other older married couples on how to live a godly marriage and have found it really beneficial.
Ramey has been married for just over seven months now and knows that she and her husband will stand the tests of time with their faith-driven marriage. After gushing about how much she loves her husband and will always love him she said, because we got married young, not only do we get to grow old together, we get to grow up together.
