31st Annual Crusader Club Classic

After being played at Mount Park golf course the past few years, the Crusader Club Golf Classic is celebrating its 31st year at the Cliffs Valley Golf Course on April 10, 2018. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
There will be a Chick-fil-A breakfast provided before and during registration. A Tigerville favorite, Einstein’s Bagels, will be sponsoring lunch at the course. Then to finish off the day, there will be a buffet style dinner provided by The Cliffs Valley while prizes are being distributed. To follow in tradition, President of North Greenville University Gene Fant will share some words during this time.
Currently, there are five teams registered to tee in the 31 Annual Crusader Club Golf Classic. The tournament can host a maximum of 25 more teams. To register a team or to donate to the Crusader Club Golf Classic, visit www.nguathletics.com/Crusader-Club/Golf-Classic.
There are five ways to get involved with the Crusader Club Classic, the premium entry level being the “Gold Level Sponsorship.” This sponsorship level is $5,000 and includes eight player spots in the tournament. It gains advertising exposure on the North Greenville University website, as well as a Golf Course Sponsor sign and status of a tournament Co-Sponsor. This sponsor will also get to visit NGU in fall 2018 for one football game with four tickets to the Presidential Box.
The Silver Level Sponsorship is $2,500 and enters four players into the golf tournament, while also gaining them advertisement exposure on the athletic website and on a Golf Course Sponsor sign.
Third level sponsorships are the Scarlet Sponsors who give $1,500 and get the entry of two players in the tournament, advertisement exposure on the NGU Athletic website and a Golf Course Sponsor sign.
The lowest level of sponsorship is for sponsors who desire to support the Crusader club from the sidelines, while still gaining exposure on a Golf Course Sponsor sign and being listed on an Event Sponsor card. This is the Green Level Sponsor and cost $250.
But anyone who desires to play solo on the greens in the Crusader Club Classic, a single player can enter the tournament for $750. This is an entry fee and does not include any kind of advertisement exposure with NGU Athletics.
This tournament is a well-known tradition for the Crusader family, as it is the largest fundraiser organized to benefit the North Greenville University Athletic program.
The Crusader Club is an organization of corporate, family and individual sponsors who support the Christ-centered environment of North Greenville University and wish to enable Christ-like excellence in NGU athletics.
“Our overall desire is for student-athletes to be successful on and off the field while at North Greenville University and to equip them to be successful in life,” states the mission statement of the Crusader Club.
Crusader Club supports over 500 student athletes who compete for one of 19 varsity sports and cheerleading at NGU by providing athletic scholarships. The varsity sports compete in NCAA Division II conferences: Conference Carolinas and Gulf South Conference.
North Greenville University has some of the best athletic facilities in both Conference Carolinas and the Gulf South Conference. These facilities have been made possible by the funds which come from the Crusader Club.
