As of Feb. 17, the United States team has won five gold medals so far in the 2018 Winter Olympics.  Four out of the five medals won were in snowboarding. Red Gerard and Jamie Anderson won gold in men and women’s slope style snowboarding. Chloe Kim and Shawn White both won gold in the snowboarding halfpipe. Mikaela Shiffrin won gold in the women’s giant ski slalom. Team U.S.A. has done very well so far in the 2018 winter olympics.
