NGU track and field racing to the conference tournament

The North Greenville track and field program just finished its regular season play and is now on its way to the conference meet.
Senior sprinter, Leah Austin, said, “Both men’s and women’s teams are expected to get fifth at the conference meet.”
Shekinah Wilder is expected to win triple jump in conference play. Wilder had a career and school best triple jump of 40-feet at the end of regular season in Johnson City, Tenn. Head Coach, Cameron Stober, told NGU athletics, “Special recognition to Shekinah Wilder for setting a career best in the triple jump, and for beating her own school record. Her jump this weekend puts her at fourth in the country for DII.”
JJ Sherman is also expected to get first in the 60-meter dash at the conference meet. Sherman ended up with a third place position on the podium in Johnson City.
One of the top three spots for the 200-meter dash in conference play is expected to be achieved by Tevin Richardson. Richardson received second place in the 200-meter dash in the last regular season play.
The conference meet will be held on Sunday, Feb. 18 in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
