December, January and February are known as the months in sports where champions are made. There is the College Football National Championship, College Basketball begins to heat up as March Madness slowly approaches and the NBA teams lock in their rosters to make a late second-half push for the post-season. And of course, there is the biggest sporting event of the year, the Super Bowl.

The all-star selection committee has been under fire lately for its decision on whether four or more all-stars from one single team should be allowed. The committee was forced to decide because the Golden State Warriors will feature four different players in the 2018 East Vs. West all-star. These players include Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant.

Also, in the NBA, the All-Star selection committee has made their decision and have released to the Nike All-star edition jerseys. The Western all-stars is led by Steph Curry and the Eastern all-stars is led by “The King” himself, LeBron James. DeMar DeRozan will be joining “The King”, who has been a strong candidate for MVP this season.

The College Football National Championship witnesses a battle between two giants and two historic programs. No. 1 Alabama faced off against SEC champion Georgia in what would become a hard-fought game. However, the Crimson Tide of Alabama would come out on top, bringing home Nick Sabin’s sixth national championship.

In the professional ranks, the NFL is gearing up for Super Bowl LII and the underdog Philadelphia Eagles is preparing to take on the defending super bowl champions, the New England Patriots. Under back-up quarterback Nick Foles, the Eagles have not lost a beat, and the Eagles will look to rely on their “up-tempo” offense and their top ten defense to knock of the “age-less” Tom Brady, who at forty-years old, is defying the odds. Will this be the Eagles first super bowl win in 84 years, or will the patriots look to extend their dynasty to six championships under Tom Brady?
