Freshmen of NGU: Rachel and Nicole
Sarah Wetherbie, Staff Writer
Rachel and Nicole Daniel are twins that are current freshman here at North Greenville. Rachel is a broadcast media major, and Nicole is a digital media major. They both work the video cameras during chapel, FCA, BCM, and other events around campus. They also help make the videos that you see playing on the screens before chapel.
Both Rachel and Nicole did theater for five years. Some of their favorite productions include “Life of Paul” and “The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe.” Rachel did more acting, and Nicole ran things behind the scenes. They both said that they did it for fun. It wasn’t something they were interested in doing as a career.
They were homeschooled from kindergarten until senior year. Rachel and Nicole attended a co-op from 8th grade until senior year.
They both play an instrument. They’ve been playing their instruments for six years each. Rachel plays the violin, whereas, Nicole plays guitar. Rachel plays mostly classical music, while Nicole plays mostly worship music. Nicole’s favorite song to play is “Come to the Alter” by Elevation. Rachel doesn’t have a favorite song to play.
One of Rachel’s favorite things about North Greenville is the close atmosphere. It’s not too big and not too small. She also likes the teachers she has this semester. Can’t forget to mention the pretty campus.
Nicole likes how the teachers want to get to know students. They want to invest in their lives. She also likes that she gets to see different people every day. In high school, everyone is with the same people every day, but here, you see and meet people you haven’t met yet. Her favorite thing is that Christ is at the center of everything.
