North Greenville had its first ever dance on August 24, 2017 after 125 years of a no dance policy. In honor of this, we decided to fill you in on our 10 favorite songs that we think should be on the playlist at the next dance. Here we go.

1.       God’s Great Dance Floor by Passion ft Chris Tomlin

“God’s Great Dance Floor” is a song made to be danced to. Its upbeat rhythm makes you want to get out of your seat and dance around. The lyrics carry the sound of God’s unfailing love for us even though we can’t really give Him anything but our praise.

2.       Party Like a Princess by Jamie Grace

It might sound like a song just for girls, but it’s the exact opposite. It’s for both guys and girls. You don’t have to have someone to be happy and have fun. That’s what Jamie Grace is talking about when she says, “Party Like a Princess.” Plus, it’s a fun song to boogie to.

3.       Make a Move by Royal Tailor

Royal Tailor has yet another song encouraging us to “Make a Move” and introduce people to Jesus. We shouldn’t just sit around and watch. We should be out making a difference in the world around us. Not to mention the beat of the song makes you want to get up and move.

4.       Living for the Other Side by Capital Kings ft Royal Tailor

Capital King’s message to us is to live for Jesus and keep Him in mind with everything we do and everyone we talk to. There’s no telling who you will see and talk to. They may need to know that someone loves them no matter what they do.

5.       Old Church Choir by Zach Williams

This song brings back memories of going to church with our grandparents especially with the actual church choir that is used. It makes you want to sing along and clap your hands to the beat. Zach brings an awesome voice and amazing music to your radio.

6.       Everything Comes Alive by WE ARE MESSENGERS

“Everything Comes Alive” reminds that in Jesus even the dead can be raised. If you need a little pick-me-up, this song is perfect for you. It has a fun vibe to it and makes you think happy thoughts! It’s perfect to dance to in private or in public.

7.       Funky Jesus Music (Live) by TobyMac ft Hollyn

This one needs no explanation. It explains itself all throughout the lyrics. The live version is whole lot of fun to watch and listen to. It adds to what the song already has. “Funky Jesus Music” is the perfect dance song.

8.       Shake by MercyMe

“Shake” is the perfect song to jam to in your car or in your home. It makes you want to get up and dance the night away. Its message to us is that, in Jesus, we are a new creation. That’s a reason to dance like you’ve never danced before.

9.       This Is Amazing Grace by Phil Wickham

“This Is Amazing Grace” is a church favorite because it perfectly explains God’s grace. Nothing compares to God’s grace towards us. It will make you want to “raise your hands in air like you just don’t care” and sway to the beat.

10.   Rescuer (Good News) by Rend Collective

“Rescuer” has a country sound that will surely have you on your feet and clapping your hands. It carries the “Good News” of Jesus Christ in its lyrics and encourages us to come to the feet of Jesus.
