Humans of NGU: Bethany Wallace

North Greenville University is a diverse campus with many different personalities. Everyone is on their own path and following their passions to success. Bethany Wallace, 19, is a freshman at NGU and is making the most of her time while on campus. She is an elementary education major with hopes of becoming a principal one day.
“My involvement in school is extremely important to me, both academically and socially,” Wallace said. She is involved in many things North Greenville has to offer.
“I have loved being a part of a BSU impact team. It has allowed me to connect with others and service the community,” Wallace said. The weekend mission trips allow her to put her skills to work and connect with those in her team. They are all working for a higher cause and that is what truly makes the difference in being involved.
Wallace did not see herself at North Greenville during high school but once she visited there was an instant connection. During high school, she attended a program called teacher cadet that allowed her to experience what she had been looking for.
Wallace said, “I never knew I wanted to become a teacher until I had that experience at North Greenville.” She is now thriving in her education classes and is enjoying her choice in major.
“Since being at North Greenville University my faith has grown stronger because of those around me and their dedication to pursue The Lord,” Wallace said. She continued, “It has been an eye-opening experience to see people my age encourage each other in their faith and have accountability for one another.”
Her outlook on life has changed since being at college and allowed her to focus on what is really important in life and for the future. It is only her second semester at North Greenville University but she feels she has gained a great deal of knowledge already. She is optimistic about the future here and is looking forward to the future on this campus.
