Every March, sports fans from all over America look forward to one the most exciting sports functions of the year: the NCAA College Basketball Tournament known as “March Madness“. Some 68 teams are selected to play in the tournament based off rankings, number of wins and strength of schedule, and although there are 68 teams playing there can only be one Champion.

Teams must “survive and advance” or either face the sad news of losing and their season ending. As it can be a emotional ride for the teams playing, it can be just as emotional for the fans of their respected team. The “Journey to the Tourney” has yet to disappoint. This year’s tournament has been of the most exciting tournaments in years, from buzzer beaters, “Cinderella” teams making their stake and to the upsets. This year’s Final Four has shaped to be interesting:  down to four teams the tournament has begun to heat up.

The Final Four stars four unlikely teams to make it thus far; South Carolina, Oregon, Gonzaga and North Carolina. A gritty and defensive oriented Gamecock squad which has four tournament wins in school history from 1939-2017 will face off on Saturday against a fast paced Gonzaga team which is familiar to the spotlight. The star-studded Tar-Heel team looks to add another ring to their dynasty as they face off against the most interesting team left: the Oregon Ducks. The winner of each game with face one another in the championship game in Phoenix, AZ.
