Why you should switch to the Nintendo Switch

The Switch is Nintendo’s newest console. It has received a lot of hype, but is it worth the $300 price tag without a game?
The first thing that you see when you open the box is the tablet-like console and the two Joy-con controllers. The console has a 6.2-inch screen that has a resolution of 1280×720. The system includes a dock for the console. When attached to the dock, the Switch will output full 1080p through an HDMI cable.
The console only has 32 gigabytes of internal storage, however, that can be expanded up to two terabytes with a micro SD card.
When you turn on the Switch, the home menu opens. From the home menu, you can access any games that you have installed, switch profiles, access Nintendo news, system setting and an e-store where new games are purchased.
I’ve been playing “The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild” for two weeks now and it looks great on both the Switch screen and on a TV. The game runs surprisingly smoothly for running on such a small console. Very rarely have there been any issues with frame rate. They are slightly more common when running through the dock than when playing directly on the Switch.
The Joy-cons felt awkward at first, but after playing with them a few minutes, they are very comfortable; both attached to the Switch by themselves and attached to the controller handle that is included with the Switch.
Overall, I would suggest the Nintendo Switch. There is a lot of potential for very fun and original games both for casual and more serious gamers. However, what makes the switch truly great is the ability to take it off of the dock and carry it with you.
