There are numerous walking and biking trails near Greenville that NGU students can easily access. These trails provide good fun and exercise along with great views and lasting memories. There are about nine good trails around Greenville that are worthy of trying out on a beautiful weekend to get away from school work and stress. 1. Paris Mountain State Park Big Loop Trail

 Paris Mountain State Park Big Loop Trail is a 10.4 mile, dog friendly trail that features a lake and offers numerous activities. It is a moderately trafficked trail occupied by both walkers and bikers.

2. Sulphur Springs Trail

Sulphur Springs Trail is a 3.9 mile loop that is marked as a moderate level trail. This trail is one to see wildlife and offers multiple activity options. This is trail is also dog friendly if dogs are on leashes.

3. Brissy Ridge Trail

Brissy Ridge is a loop trail that is 2.3 miles and rated difficult. It is a dog friendly trail that has a nice forest atmosphere and is accessible year-round. It is a heavily trafficked trail with walkers and bikers.

4. Lake Placid Loop Trail

 Lake Placid Loop is a 0.9 mile trail with waterfall and lake scenery. This trail is rated easy so it is a good hike for the family. It is dog friendly and features beautiful wildflowers. It even includes educational numbered stops to learn a little on the way.

5. Paris Mountain State Park Loop Trail

Paris Mountain State Park Loop trail is a 7.9 mile trail, not to be confused with the Big Loop Trail.  This trail is rated as hard and allows dogs on leashes. It features a lake and offers multiple activity options being accessible all year long.

6. Fire Tower Trail

Fire Tower Trail is a 3.4 mile loop and is rated easy. It offers a good forest setting and available to dogs on leashes. It is accessible all year and has numerous activity options.

7. Mountain Creek Trail

Mountain Creek Trail is a decently trafficked trail that allows dogs and is good for the family. It features a lake and streams along some parts.  The trail is good for hikers and walkers and is at a moderate level at 2.7 miles.

8. Timmons Park Mountain Bike Loop Trail

Timmons Park Mountain Bike Loop is a 1.3 mile trail mostly occupied by bikers. It is not heavily trafficked and is accessible all year-round. It is an easy leveled loop trail.

9. Flat Tail Trail

Flat Tail Trail is an easy trail with multiple boardwalks going over swampy marsh. It allows dogs on leashes and is moderately trafficked.  It is a good trail for hikes and nature walks to look at good scenery.
